Story my own data
When I read 178 mg/dL on my own glucose monitor, I had to take this seriously.
I am a doctor. I had taught many patients about insulin resistance. I knew the trajectory. I had seen too many lose toes, kidneys, and eyes to type 2 diabetes to be casual about my own numbers.
But I also knew I would not diet my way out. So I went back to first principles — and asked what might actually be going wrong inside the cell. The framework I settled on became this book.
One year later, my fasting glucose held steady at 90 mg/dL. I have shared this protocol with many patients since. The result, in my experience, has been more consistent than not — though never universal.
